We do not allow other sites to run our software but you may link to any of our pages from your site.

No, all monitoring services work remotely from our servers. All you do is login to your password protected member area to use our service. You will be able to view account history details and have results emailed to you.

7.  We already have an internal monitoring system, why would we need your system?
The Internet is a node/gateway based system. Your internal monitoring may tell you that a device is broken inside your network or even that the outbound gateway is having problems, but it may not inform you that inbound connections from different nodes on the Internet are able to access your website. Site Uptime Enterprise provides monitoring from various geographically diverse locations on different networks.

9.  How many domains can I monitor?
Each account may monitor 1 domain. If you need additional domains to be monitored, you can register for our premium service.

10.  How often do you monitor my site?
The monitoring interval for our free service is 30 or 60 minutes. You may select the monitoring interval that you want for each domain. Our Premium Service provides 5 and 15 minute monitoring intervals.

11.  How do you determine if a server is "up"?
Our software checks the server response code from your host and if the server response code is "200", "302", "301", "403" or "401", your hostname is considered "up".

12.  How far back do you keep monitoring statistics for my account?
Detailed statistics for each domain are kept for 2 months while statistic summaries are kept for the life of the account. All statistics for our premium accounts are keep for the life of the account.

13.  I want to monitor 5 websites every 5 minutes. How much do I have to pay monthly?
Our pricing system charges you based on the number of urls you monitor and their monitoring intervals. A single url monitored with a 5-minute monitoring interval costs 4 USD per month. So, monitoring five webpages/urls at 5 minute intervals will cost you 20 USD per month.

I have a shopping cart Web application on my website. There are 5 steps from login to checkout in the application. If I use your Web Application monitor and monitor my shopping cart every 30 minutes, how much will it cost?

For web application monitors, the pricing is based on two factors: 1Monitoring interval.2 Number of steps/urls present in the sequence of the web application monitor.

The web application monitor pricing charges you based on each step in the url sequence. So, in this case, monitoring one step in the sequence at 30 minute intervals will cost you USD 2 per month. Since there are 5 steps from login to checkout, this web application monitor will cost you USD 10 per month.

You can keep adding new website monitors using the 'Add Monitor' option. Our system will automatically check once every month to see if new monitors are added to your account, and adjust charges based on your actual usage.

You need to just login to your account, edit the website monitors and change Monitoring Interval to 5 minutes. Our system automatically checks your account once every month and adjust charges based on your actual usage. You will not lose any money.

17.  How gesture website availability monitoring works:
Once you add your website for monitoring, the website moniter servers send out HTTP/ HTTPs requests to your website at regular intervals of time to check if your website is accessible. A website will be reported as unavailable if:

Website is not accessible.

Response time of the website crosses 30 seconds.

HTTP Response code of the response is 4XX or 5XX.

If the username/password is invalid in the case of authenticated websites.



The monitoring intervals range from 5 to 60 minutes or above.

You can also subscribe for weekly/daily availability reports through email. These reports includes details such as uptime/downtime charts as well the total downtime details. From the 'Reports' tab, you can view your web page availability history reports. These reports give you a very good indication of your website's performance over a specified time period.

Yes. You can monitor multiple web pages as a single web transaction. You need to download 'Transaction Recorder' tool to record the transaction and create a 'Web Application' monitor for it.

No. At the moment, only one account per email id is allowed.

One. When your site goes down, you will receive a 'Down' alert describing the reason for the failure. When your site comes back up, you will receive an 'Up' alert.

It might be due to the following reasons: Time out error. Your site took more than 30 seconds to respond. Network error between our monitoring station and your website. Site unavailability for a very short period, say 1 minute.

If you suspend a monitor, all the data related to that monitor will be suspended. However, you can view the same data after activating the monitor again.

Log in to your account and click the Upgrade link. You will be shown a page where you can select either Professional or Enterprise account. Next, you will be shown the upgrade form where you can select the type and number of monitors you want to add and then proceed to subscribe.
